We are hiring for Senior Manager - Physical Logistics with an Reputed Automobile brand   Location : Chennai  Education Qualification :  - Full time Bachelor of Engineering   or  - Master's in Business Administration from reputed university  Experience :   - 7 - 14 years of experience in automobile industry  - Experience in warehousing & Inventory Management  Skills :  - Good leadership and team management skills  - - Language fluency in English & Tamil, (Hindi preferable)  - Knowledge in ERP, especially in SAP platform  - Knowledge of MS Office  - Working experience on SAP systems  Key Responsibilities include (but are not expressly limited to the below) :  - Lead, direct and control physical logistics activities to achieve Plant production target as per business plan  - Responsible for ensuring zero line stoppage, shortage management and smooth management of warehouse operations  - Lead the physical logistics team and provide guidance and support to them to meet the company's objectives and vision  - Review operational performance through measures such as productivity, volume targets and absenteeism on a regular basis  - Identify constraints and resolve escalated issues, monitor progress against set timelines in order to meet the production targets  - Set challenging targets to the team to meet the desired objectives of the organization and expected results  - Extend support during product launch, cascade knowledge to core team involved in launch, monitor progress and resolve any escalated issues in order to ensure that the schedule plan set for the launch is adhered  - Ensure the standards, policies/procedures are being followed in the warehouse at all times  - Responsible to assure all the warehouse processes are adhering to ISO 9001/ ISO14000/ OHSAS 18001 audit standards  - Motivate the team to do continuous improvement activity and reduce the non-value added activities as much as possible in the Production Processes  - Encourage to implement cost saving measures in the process which has direct impact in the profitability of the organization  - Ensure stock accuracy of all warehouse materials in order to meet plant target  - Ensure and control recyclable waste and hazardous waste in plant operations  - Review and implement the process change in Physical Logistical functions to improve and achieve volume efficiency  - Define, review and upgrade operation procedures in order to meet new concept  - Check for new techniques with equipment's / system implementation to improve the functional and operational efficiency of business requirement  Charu
