Designation : Manager / Sr. Manager Operation - Middle Mile Logistics team
Note : Designation is according to Global Hierarchy
Location : 2-3 Locations in India
Education & Experience :
- BE / MBA from a Tier 1 Institute only with 12-18 years of Experience in Managing plant operations. They are looking a candidate only from manufacturing background. Candidates should have experience in Managing a big workforce in ops is mandatory.
Purpose of the Job :
- This Candidate will be responsible to Managing a Big Transportation Team from Fulfillment centers to Distribution Centers. This will be a Regional Role and those who are looking to take a new challenge in Managing a Big Transportation Team only need to apply.
Role : The person would be responsible for Managing Big Transportation team, Resource Allocation, identification of new sites, hiring process (of Associates), on-boarding the fresh hires, training of resources, etc., i.e. the person should know the entire operations process.
- The candidate should be having strong analytical skills and experience in planning, process improvement, continuous improvement, etc. and should be strong in the entire operations.
Essential : He needs to have strong people management and analytical skills as he would be handling a team of 250-300 people (both on-roll and off-roll)
They are looking for experienced candidates who can start providing leadership Transportation team.
Typical responsibilities will include :
- Quickly understand the business issues and challenges of Transportation operations, identify strengths/weaknesses and suggest areas for improvement
- Map business requirements, understand business process, study and analyze workflows, design solutions and prepare functional specifications
- Be data driven, develop and report performance metrics, executive updates, forecasting, budgeting and analysis to identify potential opportunities for improving Customer Experience.
- Deep dive and acquire an extensive knowledge of emerging industry practices and apply when solving business problems.
- Design, develop, pilot & rollout enterprise wide programs around performance improvement, cycle time improvement for returns, delivery experience, financial auditing, identification of alternate delivery services etc.,
