Leadership role: Sr. Manager - New Products Development  Reporting to : Head/VP- New Business  Scope:  - The New Product Development Manager shall help the Head- New Business in strategizing and implementing new product development.   - He/She would be the contact between marketing, R&D and external agencies which develop such products, the sourcing and supply chain team at the back end and sales team in the front end .   - He/She would work closely with the product managers and ensure the defined processes are followed in the development process.  Key responsibilities:  - Strategize new products portfolio with Business Head.  - Custodian of new product ideas and the ideation process.  - Develop the product specifications in consultation with the consumer insights, marketing, sales, packaging and the R&D teams.  - Identify, liaison and work with external research agencies wherever required along with the company's R&D team.   - Drive the new product development with all the stakeholders ensuring disciplined adherence to the stage and gate process.  - Conduct consumer tests and other market research, collate market data in collaboration with marketing and product teams  - Work with the sourcing and supply chain teams to identify procurement strategies and close vendors  - Incubate the product launches in collaboration with product, marketing, sales, sourcing and supply chain teams   - Competition and Market Analysis and knowledge sharing.   Qualification: Post graduate degree in Management with specialization in marketing from A class institutes. A graduate degree in science / engineering is a must.  Experience:   - 10-12 years experience in the FMCG food industry.  - Must have worked in the product development and marketing function.   - Candidate should be a self-starter, highly organized and detail oriented and committed to meticulous follow up.
