Senior Manager/Manager - Litigation - LLB - BFSI

Position Level : Manager/Sr Manager

Reporting to: Vice President

- Evaluate legal options in Company's interest and instruct the Advocates for filing necessary documents in the Court on behalf of the Company and group companies in the legal proceedings.

- To study and facilitate the finalisation of Plaints / Written statements / Appeals/ Arbitration Claims/ Pleadings/Affidavits/ Rejoinder/ Applications, etc to be filed in the Court on behalf of the Company and group companies

- To discuss cases with Advocates including complete facts

- To coordinate with the internal departments / business team for procuring the necessary documents/information required to be filed in the Court connected with the Litigation.

- To attend the Courts and monitor the cases by & against the company

- To draft notices/ reply to the Legal notices, internal memorandums

- To ensure all litigation related cases are updated & information on same is circulated to all stakeholders as per the timelines

- To highlight the risks and liabilities for the Company, in the proceedings, agreements and contracts

- To maintain, update and provide the necessary litigation related data/reports to all stakeholders as applicable- to maintain complete MIS for all litigation with upto date developments

- To draft/ vet documents for Company and group companies as per the requirements

Academic / Professional Qualifications :

Law Graduate with 8-10 years- experience in Litigation Matters of the Company

Critical Exposure / Experience :

- Handled the Litigation Portfolio with limited intervention

- Manage all court related requirements

- Proactive in ensuring all legal aspects are taken into consideration or any case/contract/documents

- Thorough knowledge of CPC and CrPC and all Court procedures

- Excellent communication and drafting skills

- Willingness to travel for Court hearings and counsel briefings
