Senior Manager - Logistics - eCommerce Startup

- Founded by a former Google employee with experience in building global products and running sales across Asia, the company is an ecommerce company specializing in B2B procurement of industrial products. The business model of the company got further validation when Mr. Ratan Tata picked up a stake in it. It has also raised a pre-Series A funding from Accel Partners and Jungle Ventures. The funds are being used to enhance the technology platform, build a deep supplier base as well as increase marketing spends across Asia.

- As Senior Manager you have to manage the entire supply chain and logistics function of the Organisation. Looking after all the aspects of order fulfillment first mile (vendor pick ups), line haul and last mile operations through courier partners and their own fleet of bikers.

The Candidate would also be managing a team of 4-5 people and a fleet of runners and packers to manage the logistics and warehouse operations and the Primary Job Responsibilities :

- Set up distribution network and warehouse/fulfillment centers

- Manage the end-to-end forward as well as reverse supply chain as well as drop ship orders

- Cost optimization in supply chain including warehousing, freight, packing, insurance etc

- Setting up SOPs for order management system customized to B2B e-commerce - ensuring smooth flow of information, material and finances

- Managing warehouse - Ensure high Quality check standards at Warehouse

- Assist vendor management/sales team to incorporate supply chain costs into their pricing model

- Manage several Logistics partners + own fleet of bikers/vans

- Ensure adherence to the promised TAT in order processing from first mile to last mile

- Regular MIS reporting with tight control on all SLAs

- The candidate is supposed to work out of our client's warehouse in central Delhi

Candidate Profile :

- Minimum 3 years of Logistics experience in logistics in manufacturing or e-commerce companies

- Tier I or Tier II B.tech/MBA with specialization in Operations

- Sound knowledge of all logistics functions warehousing, surface couriers, transporters etc

- Experience of training and managing a team

- Ability to drive stringent SLAs in a fast paced environment with minimal support
