Senior Manager - Business Development - Logistics/3PL/Express Cargo
Hiring for a 3PL Stratup.
Looking for a dynamic Business Development Manager who is energetic, futuristic and has the tenacity to work in a start up environment, which offers plenty of opportunities for growth, in addition to working alongside the founding team from the start.
Role :
Is the driving force behind generating new sales leads and the acquisition of new business. The main task is oversee all aspects of planning and execution of end to end business development activities. Thorough knowledge of the LMD, e-Commerce business and express cargo logistics marketplace and competition. Able to do multitasking and build the team as needed for expansion.
Key Responsibilities :
Able to create, develop, capture and build market position in the defined logistics space.
Build and Own the opportunity pipeline cycle through lead identifying, nurturing, negotiating, and closing.
Own and respond timely to customer RFP / RFQ by coordinating and aligning the specificities and requirements with other functions internally.
Strategic Account planning & management and new business development
Developing new accounts and negotiating contracts; SLAs, integrating contract requirements with business operations and reviewing with other functions as needed.
Develops and maintains healthy business relationships with customer organization and with counterparts.
Develop marketing collateral, plan, organize, participate in events and trade shows promoting the company and generating new business.
Planning and preparing presentations
Communicating new product developments to prospective clients
Overseeing the development of marketing literature
Possess strong mentoring, negotiation, relationship management and interpersonal skills.
Training and developing a highly result oriented team with in the territory and be able to take additional responsibilities that come along in a startup environment during the growth
Responsible for communicating service level performance to client.
Regular MIS reporting by vertical to customers and management
Develop entry level staff into valuable sales people.
You will be instrumental in devising and implementing the strategy for meeting sales performance targets
Providing management with feedback.
Responsible for heading up their expansion in new markets as well as continued expansion among existing clients
Skills/ Requirements :
Must be from e-Commerce, express cargo industry with proven track record in sales/business development through positive, proactive, target driven attitude.
Should have a total of 3 plus years of sales experience of Business Development at a territory or regional level in the e-Commerce / Express Cargo / SCM / LMD areas of Logistics industry. adaptability. Must be persuasive and patient.
Understanding of web based information systems and working knowledge
Should possess good communication, interpersonal skills and of local commercial regulations, best practices in e-Commerce, cargo / logistics industry.
Good understanding of client expectations and understanding market/competitors dynamics.
Knowledge of e-Commerce, transport, logistics industry
Sound, Analytical skills, Problem solving and cool headed
In depth business, market, competition knowledge of assigned territory/region/ business/ segment/sector etc
Self-starter, Relationship builder, Result Oriented, Convincing and Negotiation, Team and Time management, etc.
Fluent in English with outstanding presentation skills
Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite of products
Education Details :
Graduation - UG: Any Graduate Degree
PG: MBA / Post Graduation will be an advantage
