Senior Human Resource (HR) Posiiton

What you will be doing:

Purpose:

- The job purpose of this position is to promote and implement human resource values by planning and managing HR policies & programs.

- Additionally, it will involve work on re-calibrating reporting lines to balance both individual competencies with functional goals and organizational considerations with constraints.

Key Responsibility Areas (KRAs):

- The job involves developing & leading HR practices that are a combination of tried and inventive that will aim to create a high performance culture which emphasizes empowerment, productivity and goal attainment.

- It will include guiding top management by researching, developing, calibrating, writing and re-writing policies & procedures, guidelines and best practices, while communicating efficiently with stakeholders and enforcing organizational values.

- The role demands strong influencing abilities to effectively implement various HR strategies in the realms of talent acquisition, staffing, compensation, welfare benefits, learning and development, management, safety and health, succession planning with respect to top managers, employee relations and statutory compliance.

- The role requires being abreast with the latest HR practices in the top industries to seek out value from them, but also to contemplate existing structures and interfaces objectively, and to draw out a strategy to apply the best of both worlds and to play a key role in implementing them.

- This role is expected to determine key processes and develop long term HR strategies for further strengthening company culture in line with organization's vision, goals, objective and values.

- Additionally it is expected to do all of the functions of a senior HR position: including development of financial and hiring plans by forecasting and anticipating monetary and personnel requirements for each function, deliberating and finalizing these with Functional Heads and developing action plans accordingly.

Special Notes:

- The position is expected to enhance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing challenging tasks within expected time frames and ensures all short & long term issues are heard and resolved in right earnest.

Candidate Specification:

- MBA (HR) from a top-10 Business school, currently working in a Senior / Head - HR position with 10-18 years of managerial experience.

- Familiar with best practice redundancy processes and experienced in coaching managers through this and leading where necessary.

- Able to problem solve both operational and strategic issues through a pragmatic and commercially sound approach

- Effectively plans ahead to anticipate problems, plans for worst-case and best-case scenarios

- Takes responsibility for own actions and visibly supports the senior leadership team and their agenda

- Results-focused - understands what is important to staff, clients and management - is committed to achieving goals.

- Capable communication skills - handles complex and difficult situations with thought and confidence

- Strong working knowledge of employment law issues and the ability to apply these to a variety of situations using a pragmatic approach.

- Displays integrity - is sincere in own behavior and in dealings with others

- Takes a broad interest in the success and development of the company and the Human Resource function as a whole
