Job Summary:

About the role:

- Should be a qualified Chartered Accountant / Inter with a post-qualification experience of 3 - 5 years.

- Should possess a good understanding of revenue accounting standards (preferably IFRS). Experience of working in a Big-4 or a global software company on software revenue accounting is highly preferred.

- Should give high importance to financial reporting integrity in the area of revenue accounting. Should develop processes and procedures to ensure compliance with revenue accounting policies.

- Should have experience in reviewing contracts for software sale/ post sale services/ implementation, prepare contract summaries, update revenue recognition checklist, identify appropriate revenue recognizable.

- Should manage all the monthly schedules at a standard that is auditable by PWC. Should have the know-how and confidence to manage and front end auditors. Should be able to anticipate possible issues that may come up, work on fixing the process & balances and escalate to management as needed.

- Work closely with stakeholders (located globally), manage & deliver on expectations, communicate effectively and in a timely manner. Should be confident discussing challenging issues with stakeholders and should act as a - go-to- person in the areas that would be allocated

- Should be capable of managing a team of accountants (2 in number). Should focus on training the team members and making them independent in the areas that they handle (process, accounting & communication with stakeholders). Should set high standards to ensure financial reporting integrity.

Key requirements and experience:

- Typically 5-9 years experience.

- Well versed in Revenue Accounting

- Complete knowledge on General Accounting

- Good Knowledge in IFRS / US GAAP

- Excellent communication skills

- Team player
