Position Summary :  - Assumes responsibility for developing and delivering quantitative and strategic analysis for various global initiatives under the direction and leadership of the - Strategic Analytics manager.  - This position holds a particular focus on helping to execute analysis across large, enterprise datasets quickly and accurately by leveraging tools like Tableau, Alteryx and Hadoop.  - A successful candidate has experience developing and delivering - Big Data- solutions based on client requirements.  - Serves as a subject matter expert on behalf of the Strategic Analytics team relative to - Big Data- platforms and solutions such as Hadoop, Oracle and Teradata  - Manages and provides support for existing reporting solutions developed using SSRS, Tableau and Alteryx  - Coordinates and actively participates in efforts to improve, create, and maintain high-end analytical tools and models across the team   - Collaborates with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure business requirements meet customer needs  - Analyzes current data management processes through a quantitative approach and recommends process improvements  - Prepares cost/benefit analysis and recommends solutions based on rigorous quantitative analysis  Qualifications :  - Bachelor degree in Business, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering or other quantitative discipline. MBA or CFA preferred but not required  - Candidate must be passionate about advanced analytics with experience delivering impactful analysis to drive strategic results   - Must have strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with an ability to communicate complex ideas through pointed analysis and data visualization  - Must be able to manage multiple projects through to completion, often under tight deadlines   - Attention to detail and the ability to consistently generate a high quality work product is a must for this position  - A minimum of 5 years analytics, application or reporting development experience and exposure to analytics tools such as SAS, Alteryx, Enterprise Miner, SSPS, Minitab, R, SQL, Business Objects, Qlikview, Tableau, or Spotfire.  - Experience working with ETL tools for large and diverse RDBMS OLTP or OLAP data stores, such as Teradata or Oracle   - Experience with Big Data initiatives such as Hadoop, Hive, Pig, Cloudera, Sqoop, and/or Spark as well as experience Unix and/or Perl shell scripting to develop client analytics solutions  - Programming experience with analytic languages such as R, Python or SAS preferred. Exposure to VB and Java programming languages a plus  - Experience with Mainframe application and code (e.g. JCL, COBOL) a plus  - Investment banking, private equity, or corporate finance experience is a plus  - Strong written and oral communication skills are required
