Senior Associate - Indirect Tax Advisory

Position: Sr. Associate

Practice Area: Indirect Tax Advisory

Reports to: Associate Partner

Major role and responsibilities :

- Advanced in-depth understanding of multiple aspects related to the legal practice of work and practical knowledge required to provide the solutions - Supervises resource planning, team deliverables etc- Manage all commercial aspects of client deliverables - beneficial and accurate fee commercials, monitoring deliverables efficiency, billing, recovery etc

- Manage financial budgets for the practice area - revenue and profitability - Grow the practice and evaluate new opportunities and cross-sells across practice areas - Ability to acquire knowledge on current market trends and understand its future implication and impact on client - Rendering strategic advice to the client.

Required Skill Set:

- The incumbent will handle engagements related to Indirect Tax Laws: including Tax Restructuring, Tax Advisory and consulting, appeals pertaining to Service Tax, VAT, Excise, Foreign Trade Policy, Octroi (State specific) laws and Customs Law. In addition, there may be assignments relating to Income tax laws - Assignments will also include litigation related services: drafting replies, appeals, briefing counsels and senior counsels.

Experience:

Minimum of 7 to 9 years work experience. Minimum of 6 years of consulting and Indirect Tax experience.
