Sr Analyst - Financial Planning & analysis & Cash Flow  Shift Timings: UK or US   Job Description  The Senior Analyst will support Client's Retail India Business Office team by performing various reporting and processing activities, assisting in NY team in preparing P/L- s, JE's and reconciliations. Also need to process payments for vendors, address payment queries and set-up vendors in PeopleSoft.   Responsibilities include:   - Working closely with various business units and assist in day to day operational work across various groups and ensure all regular, ad-hoc processes/reports are delivered  - Strong "hands-on" background in Financial Planning & Analysis, and Management Accounting and Reporting preferably in a media company (though not a must)  - Working in PeopleSoft to perform tasks like Miscellaneous billing, updating BOSS sales assignments, review and approve invoices, identify expense reclassifications, etc.  - Providing operating account detail reports during Close  - Create Management Reporting and Performing Analysis  - Ability to interpret data and derive business models   - Mentor and assist new staff members  - Assist Manager in preparing training plans for new staff members  - Perform complex analysis for existing reports  - Providing ad hoc reports.  - Responsible for Monthly Financial Close including balance sheet reconciliations, accrual analyses, journal entries, variance analyses for editorial, research & development and trade expenses to support the various book projects  - Maintain healthy relationship with existing clients  Required Skills:  - CA/CPA/ CIMA/ ICWA  - Minimum of 4-6 years- experience in reporting, consolidation and financial analysis  - Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (emphasis on Excel)   - Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills  Added Advantage-Systems Knowledge  - PeopleSoft Financials; Cognos;TM1  Self-reliant, resourceful, and able to work independently, but also an effective team member in sharing knowledge and best practices.
