Job Title : Head of Sales (Ahmedabad based)

Reporting to : Vice President / COO

Overall Purpose of job :

- The Head of Sales for Sports Science will be responsible for centrally planning, organizing, and leading all activities of the Sports Science sales and marketing team.

- Specific responsibilities include the development and implementation of strategic sales and marketing strategies, budget and financial plan creation and management, and collaboration with stakeholders across India and within Gujarat. The candidate should have handled a large topline of atleast Rs. 10 crores and have a strong understanding of the healthcare sector alongwith good networks.

- Creativity, collaboration, and a passion for marketing excellence are all essential components of this position to effectively position TransStadia as the premier Sports Science provider in India.

TransStadia Sports Sciences operates in the following segments :

- High Performance Centre offerings in Assessment, Rehabilitation & Conditioning - Retail

- Government Projects

- Institutional Sales (Schools / colleges / corporates) - Assessments & Wellness Services

Responsibilities :

Drive performance excellence in Sales/Marketing systems and processes for TransStadia Sports Science Brands :

- Lead the strategic sales/marketing planning process, defining its overall strategy and setting business performance objectives. Create execution plan and key metrics / deliverables across target segments and regions in India.

- Develop and recommend short and medium term business plans for the Business Units and associated tactical activities to ensure sales, operating profit and business plans are achieved. Ensure that a sustainable process is in place to support these plans.

- Consult and communicate with all areas of the company, particularly with respect to our technical MoU, new product development, R&D, to assist in creating alignment on Stryker's global product marketing and business strategy.

- Identify and execute on strategic growth opportunities by market via entrance and exit strategies.

Effective brand and portfolio management :

- Establish an effective product launch process for key segment brands that will deliver high business impact with excellence in planning, implementation & monitoring

- Work closely with all the stakeholders across segment portfolio to flawlessly implement products- phase-in and phase-out

- Develop and optimize best in class external education and training strategies and programs tied to new product adoption

- Provide direction and leadership to the local marketing organizations on effective brand and portfolio management and plan and drive key launch events

- Liaise with key team members to help develop appropriate business and market intelligence strategies including marketing communication materials, brand positioning, key selling strategies, and associated messaging.

- Establish strong collaborative relationships with Indian medical fraternity, sport federations, corporate groups etc and our Marketing/Sales teams, sharing best practices and providing new product specific feedback to drive product growth across segments

- Proactively identify, analyze and manage business improvement opportunities and mitigate business risks.

- To build a world class sales team of sports science and sports medicine specialists and to lead this multi-disciplinary team and ensure operational excellence in all aspects, including resourcing and development plans. Ensure all individual performance plans are conducted in conjunction with the relevant specialist leads.

Accountability & Relationships :

The Head Sales - TransStadia Sports Sciences and Academies will report to the Vice President and Team Chief Operating Officer (- COO- ). He will engage closely with the Product, Operations and Commercial team to drive sales across segments.

- The position will be based out of Ahmedabad but will involve extensive travel to build relationships with key stakeholders especially within educational institutions and corporates.

Educational qualification :

- The ideal candidate should be in the 35-40 age group and have a Post Graduation in Sports Science/ Physical Education and have a proven track record in marketing and/or sales management/leadership in a healthcare service focused company. He/she should have sound understanding of the principles of nutrition, coaching, strength and conditioning for sport.

- Consistent career progression, primarily in marketing and/or sales management roles. Experience in a pan-India sales/marketing role is preferred.

- Traditional marketing experience / education preferable.

- Proven experience implementing initiatives resulting in significant market share growth and delivery on financial commitments.

- Demonstrated experience in establishing programs to evaluate market characteristics and trends, positioning and differentiation of products/services in new and existing markets.

Salary Range : Fixed LPA + Variable Performance Incentives
