Title:- Role of SCM Apparel Consultant

Location - Mumbai

Exp - 3-8 years (minimum 3 years exp in apparel)

Domain Expertise

MBA (top colleges) with 3-8 years of post qualification experience

Rich experience in Logistics, Manufacturing or Sourcing in Textile, Apparel & Retail (mainly apparel retail) sectors

Functional Expertise

Logistics & Distribution

- Good understanding of outbound logistics, dispatch planning & warehouse management

- Excellent knowledge of variable and fixed costs related to the distribution network and key cost drivers

- Experience in network modeling and exposure to network optimization tools

Manufacturing

- Excellent understanding of manufacturing process and capacity planning (in-house and outsourced)

- In depth knowledge of costs associated with in-house vs. outsourced manufacturing with ability to conduct “make vs. buy” analysis

Supplier Management

- Understanding of the sourcing strategy across business segments

- Knowledge of processes for supplier identification, selection , performance evaluation and development

- Understanding of key elements of supplier contract management & order management

Category Management

- Ability to convert business strategy requirements into supply chain requirements

Other Requirements:

- Strong data orientation, analytical skills and problem solving skills i.e. problem definition, problem structuring, root cause analysis etc.

- Ability to identify issues, formulate & test hypotheses and recommend solutions

- Ability to lead and drive change across the function / business / organization

- Ability to coordinate and collaborate across organization boundaries and hierarchies

- Team player

- Preferably based in Mumbai or willing to relocate to Mumbai
