Position Objective :  Planning, executing, and controlling the efficient, effective, flow and storage of goods and services, and related information from point of origin to point of consumption for the purpose of conforming to customer requirement.  Key Responsibilities Areas :  - To make available the right quantity of right quality products at the right place and time in right condition.  - To offer best service to consumers.  - To reduce the cost of operations.  - To maintain transparency in operations.  Principle Responsibilities :   - To manage stock levels, delivery times and transportation  - To coordinate and control the order cycle  - To evaluate performance and quality and to plan improvements.  - Allocate and manage staff resources according to changing needs.  - Liaise and negotiate with customers and suppliers.  - Communicating effectively with clients and responding to their requirements.  - Tact, diplomacy and calmness, especially when dealing with tired drivers and disgruntled customers  - Continually try to improve and develop business performance within the constraints of legislation, fuel costs and rising environmental pressures.  - Develop business by gaining new contracts, analysing logistical problems and producing new solutions  - To ensure SOP's are set up and followed accordingly  Qualifications : MBA in Operations Management or Supply Chain Management
