To plan for achievement of top-line objectives of the company   By formulating strategies to achieve sales and collection targets, develop new clients, and increase the spend of existing clients  Making policy decisions on pricing and inventory utilization  2. To provide an annual sales plan for the network and review the same   By understanding the annual business plan, analysing sales statistics to determine business growth potential, setting sales and collections targets   3.To develop strategic plans for the organization   By participating and contributing in all executive meetings as a part of the core think tank of the organization to ensure robustness of strategy for harnessing network strength  By working with external consultants on strategic initiatives  4. To drive brand perception in trade   Nurture a culture where team members deal with dignity honour, commitment and present a harmonious front with customers  5.To establish systems and values By setting policies and procedures for the smooth functioning of the sales force  Reviewing adherence to ethical practices in sales, collections and people management, intervene where required in order to adhere to corporate values  6. a)To develop a performance oriented sales force  b) To develop and maintain a healthy motivated sales force   By overseeing the selection candidates for sales, setting competitive performance targets and monitoring performance periodically.   By providing inputs for developing incentive plans and reward plans  By overseeing on the job training, suggesting training programmes for the sales force, formulating succession plans and career plans for subordinates in conjunction with HR, Mentoring  MAJOR CHALLENGES  - Fiercely competitive market and wide array of options for clients thus achieving optimal pricing is a big challenge  - Managing the expectations of team members to curb attrition in a high turnover industry where talent is scarce  KEY DECISIONS  - Pricing Decisions  - Decline non-viable business or business not in line with company policies  DIMENSIONS  - Responsible for an Ad-Sales turnover   - Manages sales force   - External network: - Advertising agencies having multi-regional offices.  - Internal network:- Programming, Marketing, Research, Finance and Credit Control, Legal.  SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE  EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:-   Masters in Business Administration with specialization in Marketing  RELEVANT EXPERIENCE  10-15 years of experience with reputed organizations in the service industry and a successful track record in sales  PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS & BEHAVIOURS  Excellent Leadership skills, Interpersonal skills, Negotiation skills, Analytical skills, Problem solving, Strategic thinking, In depth understanding of the media business, Passion and Drive.
