Basic Function
To lead the Internal Consulting Team for IMEA Region for improving operational and quality excellence, business development and resolving customer related quality issues.
Leading & Coaching Process Improvement & Value Chain Excellence Projects across business units using Lean Six Sigma methodology.
Would maximize the value creation by supporting Divisions, Regions and Functional Leaders and teams in the implementation of their various initiatives and actions primarily in following areas: R&D, Marketing & Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, Project & Site Management, Value Chain Excellence, Supply Chain Management, and Service.
Would ensure the team is engaged in delivering Customer Perceived Value & eliminating inefficiencies across value chain
Would be responsible for aligning Quality Systems & implementing key measures for improvement in Business metrics
Would lead the IMEA team to support the company's internal business improvement projects in different business units
Identify potential projects by following internal leads and by executing assessments and pre-studies
Success Metrics
Must have a good educational background, preferably with an advanced degree relating to operations management.
Experience in industrial / engineering / automotive / aviation / consumer durable industry.
15 - 22 years of industry experience in the area of Global Production Strategies, Lean Manufacturing, Supply Chain Excellence and Innovation Management.
The candidate would be expected to have a significant background in at least one of the following areas:
Lean Manufacturing/JIT (5S, Visual Factory, Kaizen, Kanban, TPM);
Process Quality (Lean Six Sigma, 4Q, DMAIC, SPC, TQM);
Theory Of Constraints; Value chain strategies & planning including S & OP / IBP and Inventory Management; Supply Chain Management & Logistics;
Project & Site Management; Change Management; Lean R&D Engineering including DFX; Marketing and Sales Excellence processes, Production Control & Scheduling
Must have experience of leading consulting projects either as part of an in-house function or through a management consultancy
Must have experience of business operations, ideally as a functional expert
Must be a Six Sigma Black Belt or Lean Master
Must have excellent influencing skills at all levels, in all functions, and in all national cultures.
Must have demonstrated the ability to work in large-scale global operations and experience in engineer-to-order type of industry.
Must have excellent communication and selling skills to effectively promote the successes of the team and win additional internal business.
Must have experience of working through complex matrix structures
Must have a proven track record of delivery of tangible benefits though their activities
