We at RB are looking for TRANSPORTATION MANAGER to build, drive and execute efficient transportation management systems.   The Transportation Manager will be responsible for the efficient execution of the distribution plans of the company products, will interact with the regional logistics managers to ensure transportation of the products and follow up on critical shipments as required. He/she will also be responsible for special delivery programs in accordance with sales requests.   Scope/Dimensions of Role  The role holder interacts closely with the Planning team, Regional Logistics Managers and Factory Dispatchers. Externally he is responsible for managing and interacting with the CFAs, 3PLs and transport companies.   Responsibilities  - Execute ensuring targeted service levels at optimal costs the distribution plans from factories and copackers to CFAs/DCs  - Ensure transport companies truck placements as per agreed plans with regular follow up and monitoring of performances  - Lead regular monthly performance review meetings with top transport companies reviewing agreed KPIs with root cause analysis and corrective action plans  - Regularly monitor transport costs and generate proper monthly accruals working in close alignment with Supply Services Finance Controller  - Prepare the annual business plan for transport costs and quarterly forecasts (FCx)  - Perform regular in-depth analysis of costs and KPIs identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and executing them  - Lead the annual e-tender process and following negotiation meetings with transporters supported by NPS Procurement and Finance  - Ensure agreed conditions in the signed contracts are fully executed (penalties)  - Fully exploiting and improving the Transportation Management System used for shipments execution and invoice management   Professional Attributes   - MBA in Operations Management preferably an Engineer   - 5-7 years experience in Transportation Management in similar sized companies  - Expertise in using transportation management systems.   Personal Attributes  - Achievement focused and able to work in a direct and often stressful environment.   - Entrepreneurial skills in terms of pragmatic problem solving   - Perseverance, assertive and ability to influence   - Demonstrates strong team working abilities and commitment   - Commercial awareness - Understands the impact of Supply decisions on business profitability   - Strong track record of delivery   - Strong ability to review and identify issues and opportunities in business process  - Excellent analytical and communication skills; understanding of basic financial concepts   About RB   RB is different: 'good enough' isn't good enough here.  RB is the world's leading consumer health and hygiene company, with sales in nearly 200 countries and operations in over 60 countries.
