The incumbent will work with the client and project teams to support global engagements from India in Health Industries Advisory - working with US Healthcare organizations in Payor, Providers, Pharmaceuticals and Life Sciences companies, driving strategic and operational initiatives, implementing innovative solutions, measuring results early and often, and ensuring performance meets the desired targets. The Management consulting team helps clients use product offerings and/or industry specific solutions to solve our clients - business problems in the areas of finance, operations, human capital, customer, and governance, risk and compliance.

Position Requirements

Knowledge Preferred:

1. Demonstrates knowledge and success, as both an individual contributor and team member, with identifying and addressing client needs involving HR within the Healthcare Industry. Overall knowledge in the following areas:

- Employee life cycle and related transactions (e.g., hires, promotions, transfers, terminations, etc.)

- Employee personal information

- Non-employees and contingent workers

- Position Management

- Hierarchies and other HR organizational structures

- Management functions, approvals and delegation

2. Knowledge of compensation processes in the following areas:

- Job codes and job structures (e.g., Job families)

- Job descriptions

- Salary structures including salary plans, grades, steps

- Base salary

- Components of Pay

- Earnings distribution

- Salary surveys and job pricing

3. Knowledge of benefits processes in the following areas:

- Life and job events

- Open enrollment

- Health and welfare benefits

- Savings and other financial benefits (e.g., 401(k), 403(b), 457, etc.)

- Fringe, wellness and other ad hoc benefit practices

- Dependents and beneficiaries

- Benefit eligibility and administration

- Benefit pricing and rates

- Benefit vendor integration

- Leave administration and Family Medical Leave Act (US-based)

4. Ability to participate in the improvement of payroll business processes, including experience in ERP transformations. Knowledge in the following functional areas:

- Gross-to-net calculations

- Earnings, taxes (US) and deductions

- Garnishments

- Retroactive pay

- Pay adjustments and ad hoc payments

- Severance and final payments

- Payroll processing

- Payroll structures and organizing data (e.g., companies, pay groups, accumulators)

- Hourly, salaried, exceptional hourly and other pay types

- GL interfacing and other finance integration

- US-based year end processing (e.g., W-2, 1099, etc.)

- Processing hourly timekeeping data

Skills Preferred:

The incumbent should be able to demonstrate proven and thorough knowledge /success in supporting large teams through the design and implementation of changes to strategy and operations (including people, processes, and technology changes) by:

- Ability to demonstrate strong business and global acumen by bringing business knowledge, innovation, and a global, cross-cultural mindset

- Demonstrating Strong analytical skills

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of tools (Ability to create accurate spreadsheets in Excel, Access and Presentations in PowerPoint).

- Familiarity in major ERP systems and understanding the value it brings to the clients - for example, Oracle, SAP, Workday etc.

- Delivering significant business results that utilize strategic and creative thinking, problem solving, and taking individual initiative

- Communicating effectively (written and verbal) various situations and audiences

Years of Experience:

PwC's MC team currently seeks senior associates with experience greater than 3 years, Relevant work experience will be considered based on the interview process.

Professional and Educational Background: MBA degree from premier B school.
