Our vision is to create a platform that cuts across channels, beginning with the online media.   We are seeking a Public Relations Manager to nurture a strong industry network, increase awareness and develop an enviable corporate image by developing and executing effective communication and media relations programs. The right person would be one who feels passionately about the artist community in general and our vision in specific and should have a strong media network that can be leveraged to promote a multi pronged PR strategy.  Job Responsibilities:  - Develop and implement strategic PR programs to achieve significant increases in brand awareness.  - Cultivate relationships with key business journalists in national and trade publications.  - Identify media trends so that a cost and visibility optimization can be attained.  - Maintain a keen understanding of industry trends affecting clients and make appropriate recommendations regarding communication strategy surrounding them.  - Manage company sponsored special events and activities.  Requirements:  - 3+ years relevant experience in public relations and communications preferably in E commerce start-up.  - Proven successes in both traditional and interactive PR channels.  - Established relationships with general business, consumer and entertainment trade press/analyst/blogger communities.  - Acute sense of judgement, tact and diplomacy.  - Excellent written and oral communication skills.  - Knowledge of international publications and opportunities is a plus.
