Prudential - Tax Analyst

Job responsibilities:

- Analysis of P&L (MEXP LEDGER) and identify expenses disallowable for tax purposes forming part of the Disallowed Expenses Report. The analysis to be provided to Cost Allocation team for Branching to the various statutory entities forming basis for computation of taxable profits for each such entity

- Analysis of Project spend to be included as part of the Disallowed Expenses Report

- To be able to provide effective cover for other team members, in particular, to be able to process critical activities within tight deadlines

- To be responsible for the production of quarterly Disallowable Expenses Report for review by the Financial Accountant.

- Assist with project work as and when required

Knowledge & Skills:

- BCom / MCom with experience / Part qualified accountant / CA fresher

- Knowledge of MS Office package, specifically Excel (incl advanced excel functions)

- Knowledge of accounting application PeopleSoft is a added advantage

- Understanding of basic accounting and taxation rules

- Good communication and interpersonal skills

- Understanding of UK taxation rules for corporates

- Experience of working with tax computations

- Detailed knowledge of analytical tools and techniques
