Description

The description to the job is as follow:

- Overseeing construction at the site: Primary responsibility will be overseeing the construction of the projects at the sites being undertaken by the EPC contractors, monitoring the pace and the quality of construction as per the targeted deadlines and taking prompt measures (including reporting to the management team on a periodic basis) wherever necessary to ensure the proper pace of construction. The responsibility would also include ensuring that the contractors follow correct engineering practices and ensuring that construction is being undertaken as per the engineering philosophy encapsulated in the executed contracts. Candidates should have the necessary skills to solve problems that crop up during the construction phase on their own initiative and work closely with the owners' engineers and the EPC contractors in the interest of the project and PE Company.

- Contract Management: The person shall be responsible to oversee and manage contractual obligations under the contracts with the EPC contractor and interact with the EPC contractor on regular basis to ensure timely execution of the project.

- Project implementation: Additionally, the responsibility shall include monitoring and ensuring timely execution of all such processes and activities that would be required for the successful commissioning of the project within the established deadlines. The activities would involve monitoring and ensuring that all clearances and approvals like CEIG, open access wherever required, consent-to-operate (CTO) are obtained in a timely manner so as to ensure timely commercial operations of the project. The role will also involve working closely with the owner's engineer for receipt of material at site and EPC contractor's invoice processing.

- Reporting and MIS: The responsibility shall involve keeping the management team updated on the implementation of the project through issuance of comprehensive and periodic management reports and by flagging issues related to exceptions through specific exception reports. The MIS should be designed to elicit a prompt and clear response from the management on any strategic decisions to be taken in a prompt manner in the interests of the project.

- Operations & Maintenance: The responsibility shall involve managing the O&M agreements to follow O&M best practices and achieving operational efficiency during the project operations.

Profile

- 10+ years industry experience

- 5+ years Energy/Renewable energy Industry experience

- Should have handled a team of 6-7 team members

- Outstanding leadership and interpersonal skills. Frequent use of independent judgement required

- Diverse experience working across multiple channels

- Strong attention to details and an ability to coordinate and manage multiple tasks & projects

- Excellent communication skills, including speaking, writing, and listening
