Project Lead - Engineering Team

Role purpose:

The Project Lead assists the General Manager in managing the software development activities using Rational Unified Process (RUP) methodology. He/ she actively manages a team and helps it in various phases of the software development lifecycle.

Key Areas of Responsibility and Accountability

1. Assist the General Manager in Requirement Analysis, Estimation, Design, Design Reviews, Code writing when required, Code Reviews; act as liaison between the development and QA teams; participate in project meetings and deployment activities.

2. Expect to spend upto 50% of the time at work in managing people and teams.

3. Review team members’ work to ensure design and coding guidelines are followed.

4. Work with developers to resolve technical issues & mentor them.

5. Facilitate and support the delivery of excellent quality product releases.

6. When needed, act as liaison between team members in the US and Bangalore.

7. Maintain disciplined software engineering practices in day to day development work.

8. Perform functional design reviews, code reviews & unit tests.

9. Perform process reviews to ensure that software engineering processes meet changing business conditions and remain consistent with industry best practices.

10. Understand, interpret and apply technical concepts as they apply to N-tier distributed computing, end-to-end performance, availability, reliability, security, integration and configurability.

11. Report work status on technical tasks to program manager

NOTE:

- Official Work Timings – 2pm – 11pm ( All days they do not need to stay back late. It depends on Project requirements.)

- Please should have own transport since some of the days they might be required to stay back and drive home.

- Candidates not having people management skills will not be shortlisted.
