Production Manager - Batteries/ Ancillaries @ Vizag, India  Our client is an Engg company and they need to fill the following positions asap at their Vizag manufacturing plant.  Position : Production Manager - Batteries/ Ancillaries ( There are 2 positions, one for managing production of mainline Batteries Plant and the other for managing production of Ancillary Units )  Education : Engg Degree/ Diploma   Experience : 15 - 20 years of manufacturing experience ( age-group should be 40-45 years )  Location : Vizag  Compensation : Competitive and commensurate with candidate caliber and experience   Role Responsibilities and Desired Profile :  For Batteries Production :   - Battery Production ( Planning, Interfaces, Quantity, Quality, BOM Reduction through automation and efficiency).   - Planning : On time delivery of production, measured in volumes, PPC to certify. Quality assurance measured in three parts to be certified by Factory or business head - In process, BOM, Manpower.   - Staffing: Supervisors and Technicians on time and resourceful. %age Rejections in process and %age of excess raw material consumption over BOM.   - Efficiency: Delivering automation of processes , where feasible to reduce Process cost & Targeted reduction in BOM. Ensuring consistency in quality of manpower   For Ancillaries :   - Delivering components needed for on time battery production.   - Zero rejection of components.   - Optimal inventory management [ Inventory: In Process :: X : Y].   - Ensure limits to Manpower cost - blue collar [2.5% of the transfer price of the components] on monthly basis. Maintain Make, Buy register, to be updated once 3 months. [ Identify Sources which qualify to be alternate to Make].   - Building state of the art for component manufacture.
