THE JOB  A mid sized IT Services client that has over 1300 employees & 20 offices globally is looking for a leader to steer its VDI business at a Business Head's level. This role is responsible for technology leadership and product management of Dell vWorkspace (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure aka VDI platform) and maintain support for 600 customers in five continents with 250 million users. That would, besides other aspects, largely involve:  A. Supporting all technology aspects of vWorkspace, i.e. enhancement of features & user experience, stabilization & performance, scalability & compatibility of VDI solution with varied range of hardware and Hypervisor platforms  B. Aligning with industry trends and competition (XenDesktop, Horizon, etc.)  C. Driving an effective roadmap for product release and engineer the development of the product  D. Being familiar to define, develop and document all VDI technology aspects ranging from Application Virtualization (App Volume, Thin App, App - V), Automation (v Realize Automation) and Graphics Virtualization, OS Imaging Strategy and integration with applications   The incumbent will be responsible to manage a wide range of customers across the globe for effective VDI deployment and ongoing support and shall define & analyze complex level III issue resolution and deployment/update services. The person shall also maintain the highest level of customer satisfaction by resolving all tangible problems & concerns and providing excellent client service. This role solely manages P&L for the VDI business.  CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS  1. Bachelor's Degree in Engg., Computer Science or IT  2. About 8 - 15 years of experience, including 5 years or more in product management & solutioning - design, development and deployment of VDI solutions, preferably vWorkspace or Horizon or XenDesktop equivalent solutions  3. Proficiency in Linux, Unix and Windows
