Procurement Engineer - Raw Material & Consumable

Client:

Our client has the largest Heavy Machines Manufacturing Facilities in the world, having presence in 3 continents & over 50 countries, with sales and services network all over globe.

Position offered: Procurement Engineer-Raw Material and Consumable.

Position based: Pune

Reporting to: Head Purchase

Job Purpose:

The position will handle Purchasing and developing of Materials from suppliers/Vendors.

Main Responsibilities:

- Able to handle Capex,

- Able to Handle various contracts for Services

- Understanding Of Purchase Requisition received from Various department like Maintenance, Manufacturing, Assembly, Quality, Service etc

- Analysis & comparison of Quotation

- Negotiation & Approval Process

- Making Contracts

- Purchase order release through manual and ERP system( MFG-Pro)

- Follow-up with suppliers

- Status updating to concern department PR/PO

- Ensure timely availability of right quality parts for production

- Study the specifications / catalogues and costs analysis

- System upkeep, Data bank maintenance and MIS Reports

- Handling maintenance consumables

Critical Skills and Personal Attributes:

- Experience in handling procurement Raw material like HR/CR Sheets, Tubes, Bar-Round/Hex bar

- Knowledge of procurement of parts like wood/Plywood, Machine tools, paints, Gauges, safety equipments, oil, Gas-LPG, Oxygen/Nitrogen/Premix Gas, Painting/Shot blasting consumables, grinding wheel. Belts, chemicals Hardware, Non productive items (consumables), packing material etc.

- Detailed market knowledge of such parts is desired.

- Experience in handling small volume and large variety parts base like a machine tool or project type industry will be preferred.

- Good communication skills, Negotiation skills, Follow up Skills

- Strong in maintaining timely deliveries of parts to suit the production demands.

- Experience in MFG PRO ERP system would be an added advantage.

- Minimum 8 to 10 years of industrial experience in procurement of raw materials and consumables.

Educational level: Diploma or BE Mechanical.
