Practice Director - Retail & Logistics

We have an opportunity for a Practice Director- Retail & Logistics for one of our client, which is a US based multinational provider of integrated technology and business services.

Job Description:

Industry and Domain Knowledge:

- Exposure to tier-1 ERP/SCM/CRM products specifically for Retail vertical

- Functional expertise in Retail specific core processes like store operations, merchandising, assortment planning, order management, online/e-commerce, pricing & promotions, warehouse/transportation management, demand planning, clienteling, contact center etc.

- Functional expertise in Logistics domain and core processes

- Experience or strong exposure to software lifecycles including defining downstream from a consulting engagement

- Solution and IP creation experience

- Good experience in delivery and operational areas

- Good knowledge of the international market and demand including multiple engagements across geographies

- Experience in consultative selling and creating client business case for value based pitches

Relationship:

- Must have the ability to connect with customer and lead conversations and discussions on deals / programs.

- Should be able to build relationships at senior levels within the client organization.

- Must be able to work as a senior consultant / program mentor for kicking off large programs.

- Must be able to present business ideas and technology solutions with a business perspective to customers. This includes ability to present in formal situations to senior level client-audience and industry professionals.

Leadership:

- Manage a diverse team of geographically distributed retail consulting professionals across different experience levels, including their goals & objectives, mentoring, career planning etc. apart from project level billing, utilizations and allocations

- Should be able to work with cross functional teams esp. in putting together bids in pursuit of opportunities in the space.

Communication:

- Must have very strong verbal & written communication skills.
