Role Summary/Purpose:

The Human Resources Leader for the Loco Project facility will provide expertise and support for the full scope of the HR function including: employee and employee relations, employee compensation and benefits, employee engagement, organizational design and change, communications, career development, recruitment and selection.

Essential Responsibilities:

- Work with leaders and production employees to establish and maintain a positive work environment, which encourages the full use of diverse talents and abilities; act as an employee advocate; help drive various corporate and division business initiatives

- Ensure positive interaction with employees, assist in the employee engagement process and reinforce the open door policy that ensures open and honest communication between managers and employees

- Provide leadership for developing and executing a communication plan to ensure that effective two-way communication takes place

- Handle employee relations issues at all levels, by counseling employees, mediating and resolving disputes between employees and supervisors, coordinating investigations of complaints

- Provide advice and counsel to management and employees to ensure consistent application and integration of policies, procedures, and practices

- Lead client organizations in the development of the annual reviews, staffing, compensation, and organization change / effectiveness

- Partner with business leaders on multiple human resource issues, including the following: policies, processes, and practices; evaluation and development of personnel, annual reviews, and compensation plans; implementation of process improvement (Six Sigma / Lean), including leading change initiatives, planning, and facilitation; staffing and pipeline development.

- Assure that appropriate training opportunities are provided to employees to further personal, career, and organizational development

- Identify recruiting needs, develop sources of qualified candidates; facilitate screening, testing and selection of applicants with management

- Drive HR processes such as e-HR dashboard, organizational effectiveness and performance management

- Conduct project work supporting business and HR initiatives

- Responsible for assuring that company human resources policies and practices are in compliance with central, state, and local laws and that management is complying with company policies and practices

- Perform other duties in a manufacturing plant environment, including management coaching and counseling, policy development and writing, problem and conflict resolution, corrective action and investigations

Qualifications/Requirements

1. Master's in Business Administration, Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Industrial/Organizational Psychology or a related discipline in which business knowledge and an understanding of human resource practices are gained

2. Minimum 10 years HR work experience including handling labor relations, compensation, recruiting and performance management

3. Demonstrated ability to make independent decisions, evaluate people, manage conflicting priorities
