In the Product Manager role, the incumbent will be responsible for driving the strategic vision and product roadmap for a set of new market opportunities for one of Pitney Bowes- key product Confirm.

Confirm- is an enterprise asset management solution from Pitney Bowes Software specifically designed to empower public bodies with the insight to make informed decisions on repair, maintenance and investment for critical public infrastructure assets against tightly constrained budgets and timescales.

Confirm enables stakeholders to make informed and accurate decisions on multiple asset types including: urban roads and highways, bridges, structures, parks and green spaces, trees, street lights, signage, street furniture, property, cleansing resources, refuse collection and management resources.

In this role, experience as a product thought-leader and practitioner is greatly valued. The candidate would be involved in enable selection expansion and identifying improvements to our offering to drive business impact (through improved customer experience and cost reduction in operational processes).

Key Responsibilities:

- Close collaboration

a) With the technical teams to ensure connects between the market and the engineers.

b) Hence the ideal candidate will have an agile, versatile, start-up mentality, but knows how (or is eager to learn how) to effectively navigate a larger organization by building relationships, communicating with a diverse set of people, and influence as well as deliver exceptional results across teams.

- Market research

a) Develop business proposals, options and recommendations based on data and analysis.

b) This would involve identifying new areas for product development by analyzing customer requirements, market trends and competitive gaps. Champion and present opportunity to management for consideration.

- Product Backlog management

a) Envision & prioritize product feature requirements based on business needs and operational dependencies.

b) This would need exposure to: software development lifecycle and analysis/understanding of business / operational processes.

- Product Strategy

a) Develop and evangelize a product strategy for the business and work with organizational stakeholders (engineering, colleagues in product management, sales, marketing, IT, support, QA, UX design, etc) to establish short and long-term product goals and strategies.

b) Envision effective go to market mechanisms

- Monitor progress of the product through the product development life cycle, identifying risks and opportunities, keeping senior management informed.

- Oversee, prioritize, and monitor proof of concepts, alpha and beta implementations, the build, quality assurance testing, provision and deployment testing, bug backlog, product / release backlog.

- Experience collecting, synthesizing, and prioritizing product input from multiple sources (customer users / buyers, competitive products, potentials, evaluators, testers, partners, engineering, management, etc.)

A successful candidate must have skills sets in the following area:

- Product development experience in the asset management space

- Communication

- Since this role will involve regular communication with diverse stakeholders, communication skills, assertiveness, ability to present effectively and convincingly at the senior executive level regarding product strategy and roadmaps is a must.

- Well versed with business research methodologies (using advanced data analytics methods)

- Should have experience in using various competitive strategy models (Porter's 5 forces, Upsalla etc.)Have connects in the global product development ecosystem to generate relevant competitive intelligence

- Must be able to connect product features to top line or bottom line goals and should be able to defend the same to senior management teams. The successful candidate must have a strong user and technical understanding of SaaS, spanning the operations of web content management, multivariate testing, targeting / personalization, social, mobile, web analytics, e-commerce, and more.

- Proven track record of taking ownership and delivering results in a fast paced business environment.

- Should be a champion in customer centricity
