PDOECL is located on the South Western coast of Gujarat, about 130 kms from Bhavnagar to its east and Diu, about 90 kms to its west. It is located at one of the most advantageous sites in Gujarat, adjacent to India’s first private sea port, with natural break water, the shortest navigation channel and a deep draft. It also contains India’s largest dry dock.

Key Responsibilities:

- Directs and coordinates the development, implementation and achievement of goals, objectives, policies, procedures and systems pertaining to supply chain.

- Establishes methods of measuring and improving supply chain performance to include supplier assessment and performance, and key supply chain performance indicators such as cost savings, PPV, inventory turns, cycle count accuracy, lead time and customer service level.

- Lead organization in leveraging ERP supply chain functionality and capabilities to drive efficiency within production planning, inventory and materials management.

- Effectively manages supply chain staff by training, developing, mentoring and assisting to support and interact with all levels of the organization to achieve set objectives.

- Evaluates, manages, and makes recommendations on all aspects of the end-to-end supply chain to ensure minimal landed costs are achieved.

- Drive lean and pull system based activities through the organization to eliminate waste and improve efficiency.

- Identifies and develops new supplier relationships that support the Company strategic vision.

- Oversees sourcing to include selection, qualification, terms and contracts with suppliers and vendors.

- Develops suppliers as partners to improve overall supply chain costs through VA/VE ideas, JIT delivery and excellent quality.

- Acts as liaison to joint ventures, licensees and all PDOECL plants globally.

Desired Skills and Experience:

- Experience within Supply Chain Management and/or material planning etc.

- Strong knowledge of ERP platforms including MRP functions

- Experience in logistics and souring in a multi-plant and international organizations.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Excellent negotiating skills.

Education / Experience:

- Bachelor/Master of Technology in Mechanical / MBA - Material Management

- Knowledge of any design software is preferred

- Experience 8 to 12 years.
