By pushing the boundaries of technology - and each other to surpass these boundaries - we create seeds of learning that become the catalyst for the world's innovations, personal and global, large and small.  We seek an Agile Coach to join a highly collaborative and fast-moving Enterprise Agility team dedicated to fostering lean-agile practices at scale in support of product development and delivery.  The Agile Coach will be interacting with all functions across the entire digital product creation process, including research, design, product management, UX, development, engineering and quality, architecture, technology operations, courseware content development and digital production, and PMO.  Through training and coaching, the Agile Coach drives continuous improvement of product development and delivery practices to achieve shorter cycle times, higher quality, and sustainable pace. This role will also participate in the continuous improvement of guidance articles and tool usage models.  This position reports to the VP of Enterprise Agility.  The Agile Coach will deliver coaching and training in the following focus areas:  - Scrum  - Kanban  - Scaled Agile Framework (must be a certified SAFe Program Consultant)  - Pearson Collaboration Framework (PCF), our extension to the Scaled Agile Framework  - Atlassian JIRA  - Lean and Agile Principles  Qualifications - External  Preferred education:  Technical/Engineering Bachelor's degree or appropriate combination of education and experience.  Industry experience:  - 10+ years engineering, technology industry experience  - Proven ability to deliver training  - Demonstrable experience coaching teams in software development using Scrum or similar methods  - Deep understanding of Agile principles and methods, including Extreme Programming, Scrum, Kanban, and the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)  - Certified as a Scaled Agile Framework Program Consultant (SPC)  - Solid understanding of the patterns and anti-patterns of being Agile  - Broad expertise on product development practices in an Agile organization, including: product management, agile portfolio management and budgeting, Acceptance Test Driven Development (ATDD), test automation frameworks (e.g.Cucumber, JBehave), release planning techniques, story point estimation, integration of software engineering best practices (e.g. code reviews, unit tests, continuous delivery) and other techniques that enable teams to deliver high-quality products in an Agile organization.  - Excellent written and oral communication skills and strong presentation skills  - Ability to mentor and coach team members  - Passion for continuous improvement and quality  - Some travel will be required
