Role: Associate Director - Communications Location: Bangalore Role Description: - Build the organization's communications strategy that resonates with internal business stakeholders, customers, partners, and opinion leaders alike, helping them see the impact of the platform on lives, livelihoods, cities and the nation! - Drive a full-blown communications plan that engages effectively with all stakeholders and enables public discourse amongst key audiences like influencers, policymakers, and customers - Build lasting relationships for the brand with press, media influencers and relevant organizations - Have a campaign approach to communications and run multi-pronged, long-term campaigns for the company - Bring strategic counsel and recommend effective communication strategies on a continuous basis; also be resilient to manage crisis situations with empathy and a do-it-right approach - Help in building the next line of spokespeople from the organization - Represent the brand in the media, at events, and in relevant forums - Build an A team of passionate communicators within and beyond the organization with extended agency partners Experience: - A creative leader and impeccable storyteller, who can inspire and passionately represent the organization's mission - 8-12 yrs of PR experience in a fast-paced corporate, start-up or agency; experience in journalism is an advantage - Has a strategic view of business and experience in leveraging communications to set the brand's narrative - Has represented the business as a spokesperson in external forums - Experience of interfacing with policymakers, influencers, and the press - Hands-on experience in project management of multiple campaigns - Understands the context of digital, social and new media in perception and narrative building - An up to the minute approach- can quickly learn/adapt on the move - Demonstrated ability to forge lasting relationships with media, journalists, and influencer communities - Effective communicator with a strong command of the English language; multi-lingual abilities are a huge plus!
