Job Functions:  - Defines learning objectives, works with subject matter experts, researches topics, prepares job aids, selects appropriate media (e.g., instructor-led, CBT, job aid, etc.), writes, illustrates, and revises instructor and participant materials and conducts pilot tests of materials, following the five-step design process (needs analysis; design analysis; prototype; development; evaluation). Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts to determine needs, develop course content and evaluate effectiveness of training programs.  - Ability to design engaging, interactive courses for adult learners in an online (asynchronous and synchronous) delivery modality, deployed within and outside of an LMS   - Write, edit, and format all training materials needed for each program including: facilitator scripts, story boards, tutorials, webinars, videos, and other training media as needed.  - Maintains resource library of e-learning materials.  - Evaluate effectiveness of training programs through surveys, interviews and analysis with internal and external stakeholders.  - Deliver on all stages of a project from start-up to finish within the established timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects to successful completion.  - Interacts with other Corporate Training team members, collaborating on design initiatives when appropriate.   Knowledge / Skills:   - ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate) - Industry standard training development.  - System and software skills: Technical use of software and applications tools like Articulate, Captivate, Epiplex 500, Camtasia  - Strong background in computer technology and/or use of LMS (SCORM and AICC experience)  - Hands-on experience with Learning Management Systems (Sumtotal, Saba, Skillport)  - Foundational knowledge of graphic design and the use of graphics in learning  - MS Office: Microsoft Office standards: Word and PowerPoint.  Qualifications:  - Bachelors or Master’s Degree, Instructional Design, or related subject.   - Minimum of three years of instructional design and/or technical writing experience, particularly with CBT authoring tools like Captivate, Articulate, etc   - Proficiency using Adobe eLearning Suite (Captivate, Photoshop, Presenter, and Dreamweaver)  - Working knowledge of the principles and methodologies associated with instructional design and adult learning.  - Ability to analyze the needs of the workplace, associates, work settings and work processes and to design training solutions that result in improved performance.  - Experience in designing instructional strategies, designing instructional materials and evaluating results of specific improvement courses or programs.  - Ability to work within an instructional design system, plan and manage instructional design projects, communicate design concepts and promote the use of instructional design methodologies.  - Experience in working in a results-oriented, fast-paced, rapidly changing environment that demands results.  - Must be willing to travel to meet off-site needs or attend training.
