The delivery of products and services to this client base is supported through a network of offices around the globe.  ROLE :   The role sits within the company's growing Transfer Agency operations with specific responsibility for one the functions in our India office in Bangalore. Transfer Agency department is responsible for the administration of a number of management companies Dealing, Registration, Reconciliations, Settlement, Payment, Distribution and Management Accounts functions ensuring that regulatory and management company requirements/SLA are met. This particular role is focused on managing the MIS, Control, Risk and Change Management aspect of the TA teams in India. Experience of 15+ years for DM and 10+ years for an OM role would be preferred. Qualified post graduate or a CA / ICWA / MBA preferred.  This role will have local reporting line to the Strategic Business Manager for TA in Bangalore.  PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES :   - Management and oversight of producing KPI s (Key Performance Indicators) and KRIs (Key Risk Indicators) for the respective BU teams in TA and also ensuring that the BM team produces and publishes trends on errors and root causes.   - Assumes ownership of producing and publishing MIS metrics for TA India and working very closely with the respective teams to produce KPI Dashboard to the senior TA management.  - Monitor issues/error logs to identify trends and introduce process improvement to mitigate such errors. Work with the respective BU teams and ensure that the error logs and root cause analysis are captured accurately and shared with the TA management. Review all operational losses with the respective process managers, analysing for trends/root causes and monitor controls, solutions and training.  - Actively engaged in Change management and ensuring all process testing is completed within the agreed timeline and provide periodic status updates to the TA management.  - Ensure Data protection Audits are conducted periodically and report and escalate deviations to the TA management. IT issues and escalations are captured and reported out to the TA management with the potential impact  - Management and oversight of the Investor Communications Management (ICM) Team which will be responsible for the day to day review, approval and release to print/email/fax of all client documents, including system cheque.  - Liaises professionally with internal/external departments to resolve all issues, maintaining clear communication channels, ensuring mutually agreed expectations are understood and followed with the ultimate goal of achieving timely and accurate client deliverables  - Encourage & support single department culture between home locations & BLR  - Conduct the performance management process, identifying training and development needs, and establishes performance standards for the unit.   - Determines staffing needs, building a strong team locally to ensure resources are available to accomplish priorities & day to day deliverables.  - Ensure and monitor proper preventative and detective controls are in place for business functions and drive recommendations to strengthen control weaknesses  - Ensure that current policies and procedures are in place (and are being followed) for business unit functions and are in compliance with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.  - Ensure consistent and best practice is applied across all teams  - Encourage and support proactive training and document clear development plans for managers and their teams  - Ensure that the Transfer Agency teams adhere to company standards for items including procedures, and BCP  - Foster & promote commitment to a strong risk management culture by developing a control mindset within the business.  Manage all allocated TA projects   ACCOUNTABILITIES :  - Employee is required to comply with the regulatory regime in which Northern Trust operates as appropriate to the above role.  - Employee is expected to exercise due care and diligence, ensuring the areas the incumbent is responsible for are organised and controlled.  - Employee is required to observe proper standards of market, business and personal conduct, demonstrating integrity in the execution of duties.  FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES :   - Management of the Transfer Agency in accordance with agreed budgetary guidelines  CORE COMPETENCIES :   - Leadership (Addresses difficult issues, builds effective teams focused on goals, champions new initiatives, fosters development, gives timely feedback and coaching, Idea generator and sets challenging performance standards )  - Client Service and Quality (quality, relationship building and client satisfaction)  - Communication (presentation skills, listening skills, oral communication skills, allows others to express themselves and written communication skills)  - Self-management (adaptability and resilience, learning behaviour, integrity and ethics and relationship builder)  - Interpersonal (relationship builder, respectful, resolves problems, people friendly and organisational savvy)  - Motivation (performance standards, achieving results and persistent)  - Thinking (creative thinking decision making, input seeking, logical thinking and solution finding)  - Administration (Anticipates needs, execution, planning, process specialist, quality seeker and time management)  Requirments :   - Overall 15+ years exp in end to end Custodial Operations, business oversite, risk and process audit  - Should be in a CTC range of 20 to 35 LPA (Fixed)  - Should have been managing team for last 8+ years
