Job Profile:

- The person will be a part of Strategic Business unit for QA and will manage specified projects assigned to him and will be responsible to develop QA as an independent practice within Nitor.

- While a good handle on demonstrated project management skills (inclusive of exposure to SDLC / STLC and SCRUM, Agile development process and relevant processes with project management certification) is important, acumen to help the business development in pre sales activities is desired.

- Goal oriented client communication is a desired expectation.

Job Description:

- The deserving candidate will manage the delivery function of the testing department of the organization.

- Experience in managing multiple projects, multiple client with profitable engagement is the prime requirements.

- The successful candidate must have a demonstrated experience of managing full life cycle of testing, right from strategizing to automation.

Nitor’s focus and domain areas include the following. Having experience in these areas is desirable but is not a limiting factor.

- Portals and Collaboration

- Business Intelligence applications

- Cloud applications (Azure / Amazon)

- Mobile apps

- Application development using native frameworks

- Content Management applications

- Healthcare solutions (Provider / Payer)

Exposure towards managing projects in the offshore / onshore combination is a prime requirement. Relevant demonstrated skills in this area are a crucial factor. The various areas where we expect the candidate to contribute are as below:

Management and leadership:

- Should be presently working at programme management level

- Should have handled team sizes between 70 to 150 people.

Processes Development:

- Formal exposure on setting and implementing processes

- Demonstrated skills in Planning and organizing

People development:

- Strong exposure on people management and development.

- Understand career aspirations and chalk out the individual growth plans.

Team planning:

- Strong exposure to building teams.

- Proactively understand the needs and make qualified execution bandwidth available to address opportunities

Competency building:

- Must be able to understand the present and future competency needs.

- Monitor every individual competency building and build adequate resources

Profitability Management:

- Should have project profitability focus.

- Should take proactive steps to achieve overall execution profitability

Customer handling:

- Should have managed multiple customers.

- Must build rapport with clients such that there is repeat business

Pre sales orientation:

- Should strongly liaison with business development team for presentation and proposal building.

- Understand their needs and support proactively with the requisite technology, process and application showcase.

Training and Development:

- Manage and maintain process driven training programs for various levels in the organization

- Be proactive of customer needs and address them through effective training.

- Establish a quality review program, conduct process & product audits for projects.

- Ensure process implementation in projects through reviews

- Responsible for assuring that all projects/products are defect free and compliant with functional/technical specifications

- Manage Quality Assurance team working on various products and manage delivery cycle.

Candidate profile:

- Educational qualification: BE. An MBA in systems will be desirable

- At least 13 to 16 years of experience in an IT company. Of this, at least 5 years should have been spent in delivery management.

- Must be able to maintain smooth client relationships

- Ability to “smell” business in existing accounts and report to the account managers / BD Managers.

- Experience in all relevant QA areas including test planning, translating requirements into test cases, writing test cases for implied requirements, quality reporting, writing issue reports etc

- Excellent working knowledge of QA methodologies, standards and best practices, Quality process and procedures

- High energy levels

- Good communication skills - verbal and written

- Ability to assist in high value proposals.

Other points:

- Must have worked/stayed in markets in India and outside India

- Should have a valid passport

- Must have a US B1 VISA
