Job Description:   Reporting To: Director of Operations  Responsibilities:  - Develop and implement quality management strategy and plans, including resource, systems, timescales, financials, to support, contribute to, and integrate within, the organizations annual business plan and long term strategy  - Maintain efficient integration between Process Integrity, Product Integrity, Technical Services, Documentation, Supplier Support, Microbiology, Quality Assurance Operations Support, and Analytical Chemistry.  - Develop and maintain systems to establish standards relating to activities and products  - Develop and maintain systems to measure performance against established standards.  - Establish and implement necessary communication strategy for the improvement and awareness of quality issues across all departments.  - Provide on-going support and measurement of quality in the production facilities, the continued development, implementation and support of ISO, HACCP and GMP programs, Supplier Certification, regulatory compliance, and the measurement of quality in the trade.  - Oversee Air, Water, Waste and Remediation compliance programs  - Review existing EH&S protocols and improve as necessary in order to reduce incident reports  - Interaction with site personnel to assure technical information is accurately reported to national and state agencies  - Oversee the safety training  - Responsible for OSHA and EPA compliance and auditing  - Help development of new safety procedures and review and revision of existing procedures to ensure compliance and continued improvement of the EMS and safety programs  - Review environmental documentation issued by the national, state and local regulatory agencies  - Responsible for accuracy of reports to national and state agencies  - Coordination with regulatory agencies to maintain all necessary environmental and safety regulatory licenses and permits, to include timely renewals and payments  - Utilization of comprehensive environmental regulatory knowledge and advise Plant Management regarding compliance issues  Finance:   - Ensure departmental performance against agreed targets and budgets, and within policies and standards.  - Plan departmental activities in accordance with agreed budgets and timescales.  People Management:   - Manage staff according to company standards (appraisals, discipline, training, development, etc).  Desired Candidate Profile:   Education:  - UG: Any Graduate - Any Specialization  - PG: Any Postgraduate - Any Specialization  - Doctorate: Any Doctorate - Any Specialization  - 12-15 years Experience in Quality/EHS.  - Preferably a Masters in Enology/ Microbiology/ Chemistry + PG in EHS with experience in biodiesel/Edible Oil/Renewable Energy related Industries   - Compliance to Policies and Procedures and attention to detail  - Capable of following decision which involve interpretation of the safety, environment laws.  - Follows Quality policies and applies good judgment to high risk situations.  - Implements applicability of standard industry guidelines for compliance to process and procedure.  - Understands the change impact of regulations, policies and procedures to people, department, the System and timelines.  - Is extremely detail oriented and executes quality checks on all processes.  Communication:  - Makes clear and convincing oral presentations (to individuals and groups) that achieve quality/EHS training purpose.  - Organizes ideas in a clear, logical flow that can easily be followed by the audience.  - Presents facts, analysis, and conclusions or solutions in a way that demonstrates command of content;
