Designation: Decision Scientist/Apprentice Leader  Location: Bangalore  Role & responsibilities:  - Primary role involves end to end validation of financial/statistical models in accordance with OCC 2011-12 / FRB SR 11-7 for a leading regional bank in the U.S.   - Validation includes assessment of model risk within various lines of business including: Asset/Liability Management, Liquidity Risk Management, Stress Testing (CCAR), Fair-Value Pricing, Market Risk, Hedging, Capital Allocation, Prepayments in MBS/ABS, Counterparty Credit Risk, and Interest Rate  Risk Management.   - The role requires developing an in-depth understanding and effective communication of inherent model risks and limitations, development of challenger models to demonstrate effective challenge of assumptions, and establishing performance metrics as a component of each validation.   - The candidate will also be expected to review, critique and provide feedback on model documentation.  Skills & Competencies:  - 2 years experience in Banking, Financial Services in Financial Modeling or Model Risk Management  - Good knowledge of mathematical / statistical modeling techniques used in Financial modeling  - Courses in Financial Engineering, Econometrics, Predictive Modeling, Statistical/Machine Learning  - Tools - Excel and basic working knowledge of SAS  - Ability to review and critique financial mode documentation  Education Qualification:   - Master's in Mathematics / Statistics / Economics (compulsory).
