The BA leads the project team in defining the approaches and solutions that best balance quality, scalability, efficiency, and commercial responsiveness.  Responsibilities:  - Use your experience in International Capital markets, Portfolio Risk Management, and Operations  - Elicit requirements from Equity Production and other Subject Matter Experts to prepare process design and business rule specifications   - Develop gap analyses and migration plans to shift processes from existing infrastructure to newly designed infrastructure   - Prepare functional testing and UAT plans in consultation with Business users and often lead the testing efforts   - Ensure that testing issues are identified, tracked, reported on and resolved by development team in a timely manner   - Write user manuals for the applications / processes developed   Desired experience and qualifications:  - 5-8 years relevant experience in the middle or back office operations or trading desk support of a buy or sell-side financial services firm, with a national securities exchange or clearing entity, or with a global market data vendor.  - Candidate should have experience implementing both re-engineering projects and from-scratch development projects.   - BS in Information Technology or Finance/Accounting, CFA, MBA (Preferred)  - Excellent analytical skills for analyzing business problems in new areas and ability to identify critical success criteria  - Confidence with and an extensive knowledge of emerging industry practices when solving business problems  - Hands-on experience with SQL  - Communication (written & verbal)  - Able to seamlessly interact with both business users and development team and ensure fruitful communications   - Excellent written communication skills for writing informative, well-organized functional specifications, UAT and user manuals for development team/ business users  - Ability to make precise and informative presentations to senior management on the project plans   - Appreciation for brevity  Due to the great number of applications we receive for each of our open vacancies, we are unable to respond on an individual basis.  To all recruitment agencies: MSCI does not accept unsolicited CVs/Resumes.
