I. Scope  This position has responsibility for oversight of all areas of finance for the rapidly growing Indian subsidiary of a US multi-national company. Reporting into the US Corporate Controller with dotted line responsibility to the Managing Director of India, this individual will work directly with internal personnel in India, the local external accounting firm, and counterparts in the US corporate offices to ensure accuracy and timeliness of accounting information, efficient and effective processes, compliance with all laws and policies, and will provide financial analysis and consultation to further the company's goals.  II. Responsibilities   - Accountable for Monotype India entity's finance and accounting deliverables, compliance and strategy.   - Management of India GAAP and US GAAP bookkeeping   - Manage Monotype's outside accounting firm, project manage their key deliverables and ensure quality of work.   - Ensure all processes are executed accurately and timely. Ensure audits happen effectively and efficiently. Ensure gaps are communicated and mitigated in a timely manner.   - Develop and implement continued improvement to recurring accounting processes and associated timelines; A/P, Payroll, Advance tax, PF, Gratuity, Reimbursements, Treasury management (estimation of need and ensuring timely transfers from Corp to India entity etc),   - Manage local payroll  - Ensure timely filing of all tax and tax related statutory documentation   - Track and address queries or notices from the Income Tax department in a timely manner.   - Provide support, including analysis and advise to executive leadership in India, working with US corporate F&A team.   - Lead the local budgeting process and analysis of budget to actual results.   - Responsible for monitoring the process for adherence to company policies and procedures that conform with SOX Requirements  III. Requirements  - Bachelor's degree in accounting required  - Qualified accountant (CPA/CA) required  - Public accounting experience in a large multi-national accounting firm strongly preferred  - Experience within US public company subsidiary strongly preferred  - Strong technical skills with detailed knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.   - Ability to perform advanced mathematical/accounting operations.   - Must possess excellent communication skills in English with ability to exchange information with others clearly and concisely.  - Must be willing to accommodate time zone difference with US corporate offices  - Must be willing to travel to US and Europe if required (will be infrequent)
