Mobile Head - eCommerce

Hiring for the position of Mobile Head for one of our client leading eCommerce and online travel organization.

The Mobile Head will be a key member of organization's technical team reporting to the CTO, responsible for the development and scaling of our platform. As the Head of the team, the spectrum of responsibilities will include managing the Mobile/Web Engineering Team in their day to day tasks and any technical challenges they may face.

Apart from a proven track record in engineering excellence, the candidate must have a deep exposure to agile development practices and be capable of guiding his team in complying with organization's best practices Requirements:

- Consumer design sensitivity and passion for consumer market

- High integrity, excellent communication skills, and a focus on quality

- Knowledge and/or experience with Agile techniques: User Stories, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing

- Previous experience as a Mobile Software engineer and/or team lead

- Solid foundation in CS fundamentals and expert level in at least one or two related languages such as ObjC, Java, PHP, Javascript.

- Excellent communication and mentoring skills

- Management of teams 10+ for 3 - 4 years

- BS/MS with 10+ years of product development experience; including a track record of developing platforms from initial concept phase to full production release.

- Prior startup experience a plus.

- An effective cross-functional partner with Product, UX design, BI, etc. groups.

- Contribute to and at times drive the strategy, effectiveness, and processes for our mobile/web organization.

- Serves as a mobile engineering advocate in cross-functional communication and decision making.

- Develop a deep understanding of our business, our customers, our users and how our mobile applications meet their needs.

- Participate in the testing, troubleshooting and debugging of iOS and Android apps and code.

- Driven to learn new technologies and understanding industry trends in consumer and mobile products and services.
