Sr. Business Consultants tasks include:   - Requirement Gathering  - Defining Requirements for Funded Enhancement Development  - Business Testing  - UAT and SIT Support  While doing these tasks they should work in partnership with our customers, advising them how to use our products in order to meet their business objectives or overcome problems. Business Consultants should work to improve the processes and efficiency of our customers operation through the use and configuration of our products 	 Sr. Business Consultant role is often also referred to as Business Analyst, Functional Specialist/Consultant, Project Consultant or Solution Specialist/Consultant.   Expertise:  In order to carry out their tasks, a Sr. Business Consultant requires:   - Extensive knowledge of the functionality and business application of the Misys Product(s) or any other Banking Product.   - Strong personnel management skills in order to nurture and manage the staff.  - Strong communication skills and client facing experience to be able to present PS and the product value to clients and to work with other groups within Misys (particularly Sales and the Proposals Team) in supporting the response to proposal requests.   - Good time management and negotiation skills in order to prioritise and co-ordinate the varied tasks which they work on.  - Good problem solving skill.  Responsibilities include:  - Meeting with clients to determine requirements  - Working with clients to define the scope of a project  - Clarifying a client's system specifications, understanding their work practices and the nature of their business  - Travelling to customer sites  - Liaising with staff at all levels of a client organisation  - Defining software requirements  - Analysing business requirements within companies and giving advice regarding our products  - Developing agreed solutions and implementing Misys products and solutions  - Presenting solutions in written or oral reports  - Designing, configuring, testing and monitoring our solutions on customer projects  - Preparing documentation and presenting progress reports to customer  - Organising and/or providing training for users and other consultants  - Being involved in sales and support, as necessary  Other activities within various stages of a project may include:  Analysis & Design Stage:  - Requirements Gathering (requirements workshops; creation of requirements documents)  - High Level Design and Scoping (scoping workshops; creation of high-level design)  - Detailed Solution Design (functional design workshops; creation of detailed design)  - Functional Specification of custom development items (plus communication of this to the Technical Team who will be carrying out the technical specification and development).  Build / Implementation / Configuration Stage:  - Solution Configuration / Parameterisation (configuration/parameterisation carried out through application screens, parameter files, or other means but specifically not through code development).  - Business Testing   - Documentation  Test Stage:  - BAT/SIT/UAT Tester Training (solution training for nominated client testers)  - BAT/IT/UAT Support (documenting, investigating and owning resolution of acceptance testing issues)  Deployment Stage:  - Support Go-Live Activities (from a functional perspective)  - End-User Training  - Customer Support hand-over
