Group Account Director – Qualitative Research

Overall responsibility:

The Group Account Director – Qualitative Research (GAD) has an overall responsibility for the financial health of the P & L for the Firefly Delhi.

Key responsibilities:

The Group Account Director is responsible for:

BUSINESS

- Meeting revenue targets, Gross margin targets and Profitability targets for the Delhi team

CLIENT

- Maintenance of healthy, profitable client relationships with clients, ensuring that Firefly is being able to answer their business needs and questions are being answered

- New business development amongst existing clients and identification and development of new business opportunities outside the existing client base

LEADERSHIP/PEOPLE

- Providing leadership and clear direction to team members

- Overall management of staff, including overseeing:

- recruitment of staff & building a high performance team/s

- training and career development of staff

- annual evaluations and monitoring of progress

- setting goals and objectives for senior team members

- Acting as an advisor and source of technical advice

- Being involved in research projects as necessary, including sign off on presentations and reports

- Ensuring all procedures and policies are adhered to within the team or office

- Making a contribution to company development, such as new approaches, improvements to company efficiency

- Contributing to the training program and activities within the office

- Contributing to the management of the office and supporting the MD in decisions as needed

THOUGHT

- Able to guide the team to deliver a level higher than market average standards

- Help team deliver insightful research projects

- UP the research quality on key deliverables

- Set up best practices at FF, that impact quality of delivery

Required Experience/Skills:

- More than 10 years of relevant experience in Research, Consulting, Brands and Communications

- Strong skills in leadership and team management, including significant understanding and experience in staff development

- Strong business/commercial acumen and experience in P&L management

- Demonstrated ability to build strong client relationships and develop business

- Strong presentation and interpersonal communications skills

- Fluency (verbal and written) in English and essential
