The Head of IT is responsible for managing the overall IT infrastructure of Microtek LED Business. He is responsible for providing the IT solutions and finding out new areas where IT can create core competency while achieving the business objectives.

Strategic Planning :

Enable :

- Devise short term and long term IT strategy and policy based on business strategy and goals.

- Create value addition through latest technologies and processes of lighting/FMCG industry.

- Derive IT infrastructure requirements with close co-ordination of IT Managers Control.

- Develop security standards, procedures, and guidelines for multiple platforms across globe.

Business Continuity Planning :

Enable :

- Create disaster recovery systems to get business back on feet as soon as possible Review

- Plan, strategize and monitor implementation of business continuity plan to ensure business continues to run despite impediments

- Identify areas of partnership with other business units for application of IT systems/processes to gain competitive advantage in market

- Cross functioning with other departments to fasten the overall processes Review

- Review operations to ensure IT is delivering value at front end and efficiency at back end IT Administration

Enable :

- Integrate IT infrastructure so as to derive maximum benefits at the front end and keep cost of communication at minimum

- Ensure timeliness and accuracy of IT deliverables to business partners Review

- Monitor implementation of IT Transformation initiatives Control

- Ensure preparation and approval of annual IT Budget and ensure adherence to it

- Manage financial aspects of the IT division including purchasing, budgeting and controlling costs Relationship Management

- Liaise with the other departments to automate processes to increase efficiency

- Maintain favourable relationships with external IT vendors and partners

- Maintain good relationship with external stakeholders for effective disaster management response.

- Engage, develop, deploy and retain talented staff including completing performance appraisals and personal development effectively and on time in accordance with the established performance management system

- Update the team about their performance, areas of strength and improvement

Additional Responsibilities :

- Evaluate IT vendor product and service quality to decide license renewal

- Ensure negotiation with IT vendors for competitive product price and service agreement

- Review data security measures implemented over entire network regularly

- Coordinate with Finance Department in preparing the annual operating plan and forecasts for IT department
