Datacenter Architect

- Responsible for positioning, architecting and delivering solutions around Data Center consolidation and migrations

- This position will help drive sales, serve as content knowledge expert, participate in proposal preparation, develop detailed services methodologies, customer presentations, lead delivery efforts and mentor other technical consultants

- Deep technical expertise with design of datacenter server/applications, network and storage architecture, industry wide understanding of datacenter infrastructure applications (operating systems, databases, replication/disaster recovery, and data protection, expertise with server operating systems, databases, business applications, storage infrastructure, and application integration with respect to infrastructure

- Experience with Private Cloud Architectures

- Experience with developing business case and ROI, IT people/process consulting knowledge and experience

- Strong consultancy skills are a must for this position along with the ability to develop low level repeatable services methodologies

- Proven project experience with data center consolidation and optimization, preferably across a global footprint

- Understand the financial modeling components and concepts associated with data center consolidations

- Understanding of the "green energy" conservation components and concepts associated with data center consolidations

- Industry awareness and knowledge of the latest tools and technologies to support server and storage virtualization, consolidation and application migration on an enterprise scale.

- Knowledge and skill to perform capacity planning analysis, define requirements and assist in systems engineering activities in order to provide cost-effective solutions.

- Competency and experience in the following areas:

- Data Center Redesign / Consolidation

- Server Consolidation / Virtualization

- Disaster Recovery / Business Continuity

- ITIL

- Security

- Application & Data Migration

Desired Profile :

- Experience in all phases of engagement lifecycle from requirements to implementation as well as the ability to translate a strategy into a tactical, transformational work plan.

- Experience with VMware in large scale production environment.

- Strong project planning, project management and project delivery skills.

- Thorough understanding of how to design and implement solutions to address Data center power and cooling
