Metropolitan Stock Exchange of India - Senior Executive/AM/Manager - Legal

Key Accountabilities :

Non-Litigation :

- Drafting, vetting of all legal agreements, MOUs, deeds and other legal documents.

- Amend the bye-laws, rules and regulations, IPF Trust Deeds.

- Replying to legal notices, issuing legal notices.

- Provide legal opinion and guidance to other user departments on various references, examining the recent legislative changes and accordingly advising the Board.

- Review policies, regulations of the company and associates.

- To handle IPR matters and co-ordinate with our trademark attorneys.

- Obtain all licenses, trademarks, patents, copyrights, Escrow accounts, leave & license agreements.

- Resolve Complaints received from the investors against the Brokers, Brokers against the brokers, acknowledging the receipt against complaints, helping parties for conciliation

- Monitor and maintain the arbitration proceedings, provide help to the arbitrators, enforcement of Arbitration awards.

- Assisting various statutory committees of the Exchange.

- Address all stakeholder related grievances

Litigation :

- Empanelling solicitors/ law firms.

- Filling and defending various types of litigation in courts of law/ tribunals.

- Briefing the counsels.

- Appearance in court/ tribunal if required.

- Preparing replies/ pleadings.

- Seeking external Legal opinions

Key Skills Required :

- Good legal drafting and communication skills.

- Understanding of the legal duties, responsibilities and liabilities.

- Ability to manage workload and at times conflicting priorities as well as tracking progress on a wide range of tasks.

- Excellent interpersonal, influencing and representation skills.

- High level of commitment to work hard.
