The institute will help leadership development in the country through delivering both custom programmes specific to individual organisations and through hosting select - by invitation only- forums for the highest potential leaders in the country. MLI is looking for an MLI Operations Specialist / (Manager) to be based at McKinsey Knowledge Center in Gurgaon, India. This is a great opportunity to join a special and entrepreneurial initiative of the Firm.  The role requires someone with exceptional organizational, communication and administrative skills. Someone used to work in team and virtual environment and who is able to collaborate and communicate with people at all levels of tenure especially senior management and external client offices and in a multicultural environment. Above all someone who can work independently and contribute beyond operational execution.  ACTIVITIES  Key focus of the role would be to support the client development, innovation, scale up and delivery of MLI programmes (forums, clients) and enhancing reach and relevance:  - Supporting client development: Support on client development for MLI - make packs, join client discussions as needed, support on LOPs and ultimately evolve to focus on client work, respond to website enquiries  - Supporting client delivery: Help client leadership programmes as part of / and managing delivery backbone, eg diagnostics, providing scripts, workbooks, materials, PMO  - Driving research and knowledge development: Help drive research Including research deep dive in the leadership outcome for Indian CEOs resulting in inputs / creation of articles, PDs, rockets   - Bringing innovation to MLI: Strategize and support in bringing new innovations to MLI in terms of client services, delivery, forums, reach and relevance to MLD - keep connect with MLD global team   - Provide management support to MLI Leadership team: internal meetings, managing MLI MIS, internal reports   - Support internal and external reputation: Support the execution of the reach and relevance plan, working with different McKinsey offices, practices on external communication initiatives to enhance reputation in the client community for MLI and attract participation for MLI Forums - create a calendar of events, plan/organize/participate in external reputation events and also reach out to our target in a multi-channel approach. Also manage qualification packs, make case studies and routinely update them; marketing collaterals   - Support management of the facilitator network: Potentially play a part in working with LLS team in FLT network management  - Supporting and leading global MLI initiatives which come up from time to time e.g. website rebranding etc  KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED  We are looking for candidates who have demonstrated a strong business sense, a deep understanding & hands on experience in Organization development and possess strong analytical and problem solving abilities.  - Business acumen - Ease in approaching issues from a top management view and discussing them in the overall context of a business. Ability to absorb rapidly and grapple with a wide range of complex business issues  - Organization expertise - Domain experience / expertise in key organization areas - talent management, leadership development, change management, organization design, HR function excellence and processes. Ability to design and structure programs tailored to particular client and business context.  Presence to coach, train, and challenge senior executive audience with credibility.   - Analytical prowess - Hands-on in conducting analyses and adept with typical analytical tools like Excel, etc. Experience and certifications in organizational assessment tools and diagnostics would be valuable.  - Problem solving skills - Outstanding problem solving skills, including the ability to disaggregate issues, develop hypotheses and actionable recommendations from data and analysis. Complemented by a practical sense of what works in a complex organization.  - Communication - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially directed to senior executive audience.  EDUCATION & PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED  - Ideally an MBA from a reputed Tier 1 institute- with outstanding academic record.   - 8-10 years of relevant work experience with significant leadership exposure, record of setting high aspirations and achieving outstanding results; willingness to take risks. Should have project management experience and preferably worked in teams.  (Internal)A high performing tenured Associate / early EM with strong intrinsic and preferably some org experience.
