Position Title: Market Access Manager  Business Overview:  - Need to have write up for business case for this role in the Indian context and also the primary objective this position will achieve.  Job Summary:   This section contains a list of five to eight primary responsibilities of this role that account for 75% or more of the work. The incumbent will perform other duties assigned.  - Reporting directly into the Marketing Manager.   - The person will mainly deal with aspects of driving market access and implementing business strategies and help to develop a superior market understanding for all products, to begin with multiple sclerosis across government (central, state, autonomous institutions,etc), NGO, patient advocacy organizations, media.   - Will work /coordinate closely with regional and head office team to drive business growth through various marketing and business development activities.   - Drive Business Development strategies (Market Access and other key strategic initiatives) of the business in respective region in synergy with the Sales and Marketing team.  - Developing KOL’s and managing key-stakeholder relationships  - Developing and managing NGO’s relationships for advocacy  - Building and the leveraging on relationships with stakeholders among government, patient advocacy organizations, potential third party payers such as health insurance, NGOs, philanthropic organizations, etc.  - Facilitate Clinical & Marketing programs, CMEs, workshops, etc  - Market and stakeholder’s Mapping in given region - Track & gather market data, No. of Patients, their severity   - Competition mapping in given region - gather and analyze competitor pricing, sales data, changes in product positioning.   - Making proposals and convincing top KOL/ Heads of Medical colleges/ bureaucrats / ministers/ all by self or along with National Sales Manager/Marketing Manager / Medical affairs.   - Helping Sales team in appointing distributors or third party partners’ for big medical colleges.  - Implement short-term and long-term growth plans through sales and marketing organization thereby positioning the company’s products as No.1 in the market that the company operates in.  - Responsible for Marketing Communications and public communication for India which involves local implementation of marketing messages and materials   - Will also be responsible for training and education related activities involving key treatment centers in the region.  - Would be responsible for ensuring market access for new products and monitor performance of all new products & recommend marketing initiatives for the same  Key Competencies:  - Candidate must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral, as well as negotiation and presentation skills.  - Strong business acumen and Should have excellent intellect with the capability and vision to plan and implement strategic company level initiatives  - Must have proven experience in sales or marketing or business development within in Pharma/ Healthcare industry  - Orientation towards KOL management and ability to handle senior level negotiations and discussions.  - Strong networking and relationship management skills  - Outstanding execution skills and ability to work in a matrixed environment across the company.  - Exposure to handling tenders and awareness of state Govt. funding process is preferred.  - Exposure to therapy management is preferred  - Exposure to Project management  - Bachelor's degree with at least 8-10 years of successful, relevant sales/ marketing/ business development or project management experience  - Management degree / PGDBM is preferable  Essential Traits:  - High on Integrity  - Result orientation; Ability to Plan and Prioritize  - Good critical thinking and problem solving skills  - Strategic Orientation  - High Optimism and sound judgment  - Team play and collaborative approach  Key Relationships:  Internal:  - NSM, / Marketing /Medical teams   - Other Functional Leaders especially Legal, Medical and Finance  - Finance, Administration teams  - Communication and PR agency.  External:  - Top KOL/ Heads of Medical colleges/ bureaucrats / ministers/ various Industry Fora in the Healthcare / Pharmaceutical Business, patient advocacy organizations  Key Performance Indicators:  - More states and institutions providing more and consistent funding for treatment.  - KOL and stakeholder’s management  - Market shares and per patient consumption improvement  - Tenders inclusion and maintenance with improved products and therapies.  - Effective product launches and acceptance  - Compliance with Co.
