Job Opening: General Manager - Supply Chain  MapmyIndia is looking for a General Manager - Supply Chain who will be responsible for supplier management, procurement and production management for our cutting-edge GPS systems, IoT (Internet of Things) devices and automotive accessories.  Job Description  Supplier Management:  - Research and identify potential suppliers for our range of GPS, automotive and IoT products  - Meet and qualify potential suppliers who can serve our product requirements  - Manage relationships with our existing supplier base and develop new supplier relationships  - Seek proposals and quotations for our product requirements from potential suppliers  - Suppliers would be based internationally - in China, Korea, Taiwan, Germany, USA etc - as well as domestically.  Procurement:  - Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers - both international and domestic - for various products and place orders  - Secure certifications/licenses for products as needed  - Ensure testing/quality control at supplier site before shipment  - Coordinate with finance team for on-time delivery of goods at our warehouse  Production Management:  - Collate demand forecasts for each SKU  - Set monthly and daily production quantities/plan for each SKU in our facility to meet demand  - Set inventory/order levels for each SKU in our facility  - Manage team of production staff in our facility  - Ensure quality and efficiency in production  Skills, interests and qualities  - Is very good at, and enjoys, negotiation: getting the best product at the best terms and price  - Is very comfortable with numbers and in conducting supply chain analyses: knowledge of supply chain concepts such as inventory, lead time, demand forecasting, news vendor model, optimal order quantity etc. is important.  - Is very organised and comfortable maintaining a lot of data: on inventory levels, production quantities, shipments etc.  - Has good knowledge of and interest in hardware/technology, especially automotive electronics. Should have, or should be happy to develop knowledge of GPS and IoT.  - Should be happy to travel to supplier locations around the world, for week/two-week trips if required  - Should be achievement-oriented and a doer, who enjoys getting things done.  Relevant past experience:  - 6+ years in procurement of automotive accessories / GPS systems / IoT products  - Managed production / warehouse for electronics/automotive components  - MBA and/or PG/Supply Chain/Engineering bachelors' degree.
