Description  The Company  One of the largest depositories in India is seeking potential candidates for the role of MD & CEO  Key Responsibilities  - To be able to articulate a clear vision, strategy and plan that inspire conviction in the board and shareholders  - To be able to develop a compelling, differentiated value proposition compared to conventional banks  - To drive digital banking amongst all segments of customers  - To build a collaborative ecosystem for digital payments  - To present and reach an agreement on short, medium and long term initiatives to achieve the strategic objectives of the bank  - To be able to develop a continuous programme of specific initiatives and drive their time-bound execution towards expected outcomes  - To be able to orchestrate execution through well-structured teams and processes  - To be able to pursue - growth and profitability- in a market where some players could pursue - growth or profitability-   - To be able to drive execution using cost-effective strategies and highly productive teams  - To work like a FinTech firm where small product and engineering teams can create outstanding products that appeal to millions  - To be able to envision opportunities leveraging such distribution to reach all sorts of target customer segments, both retail and non-retail, urban and rural, high-income as well as low-income in a graduated expansion  - To be able to understand the existing businesses of the firm and be able to work with the rest of the group to leverage strengths of the group while keeping in mind the compliance and business imperatives  - To be able to contribute to rest of the group in bringing consumer orientation, innovative approach and marketing focus  - To be able to work cohesively with the senior management of group companies  - To have deep appreciation of the compliance and risk requirements of the bank and ensure adherence  - To drive development of the policies, processes and systems expected in a bank  - To have sales drive and be able to personally engage with and win important relationships and alliances that can bring significant business and visibility to the bank  The Candidate  - Ability to envision opportunities for a new, differentiated bank in a highly competitive and evolving market for banking services  - Deep knowledge of banking in India, especially retail banking, combined with out-of-the-box thinking to evolve business proposition and opportunities  - Strong digital orientation and ability to create a successful digital bank  - Execution-focused individual  - Good grounding in retail banking economics  - Focused on merchant acquiring  - Mature individual with high integrity  - Transparent communicator  - Well organized with execution focus  - Ability to share the vision and values for the bank and be able to execute the shared vision.
