Roles and Responsibilities
Develop, Roll-forward and review valuation models of varying complexities for Infrastructure and Real Assets investments of differing sizes
Develop strong familiarity with the asset economics which directly impact valuation
Understand and review asset MIS regularly and update valuation models in consultation with asset managers, as necessary
Independent evaluation of key valuation assumptions
Write asset valuation report / commentary, as necessary
Work in a collaborative team analysing client issues and recommending solutions
Prioritize objectives and contribute to project execution and status reporting
Provide guidance to, supervise and review the work of junior team members
Directly liaise with and develop relationships with client and engagement team members.
Produce assignment budgets and timetables, and manage delivery against them
Focus team on key priorities and ensure smooth service delivery within the defined competency/geographical area
Required Skill & Experience :
Professional degree CA/CPA/MBA/CFA (International)
8+ years of relevant financial modelling experience, ideally building valuation models in the infrastructure space
Experience with any of the Consulting firms, leading investment banks, or their support centres would be highly regarded
In-depth understanding of financial and valuation principles
Experience with purchase price allocation and Impairment testing of goodwill and intangibles as per accounting standards (IFRS)
Sound grasp of MS Excel including understanding and building macros; a natural interest in working and learning to use it to an advanced level
Knowledge of how different investment structures work would be an added advantage - convertibles, straight equity, shareholder loans etc.
Advanced knowledge of using various research databases like CapitalIQ, Bloomberg, Factiva, Thomson etc.
Excellent analytical, project management and teamwork competencies
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Interest in working in a challenging and dynamic environment
Ability to work with staff at all levels of the organization
Interest in obtaining international experience
