Job Title : Manager / Senior Manager

Function : Corporate Business Tax

Location : Gurgaon

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

- Developing sector expertise within Corporate Tax with emphasis on a particular sub sector and assisting senior management in the business development effort on such industries including generation of business for other service lines other then Tax

- Independently managing the various client projects / assignments including resource allocation and client billings.

- Managing income-tax and regulatory advisory assignments including advise on tax and regulatory implications for existing business structures and identifying tax planning opportunities for clients through alternative structures / tax positions

- Representing clients before the Tax and Regulatory Authorities including Appellate authorities

- Assisting clients in briefing Tax Counsels in relation to appeals before the Appellate Tribunal / Courts, etc

- Assisting in developing the Corporate tax team including hiring, resource planning and managing the team’s performance.

People development – imparting training and coaching them on the job

THE INDIVIDUAL

- Be a qualified CA

- 5 - 10 years of experience in direct tax compliance. Experience in consulting would be an added advantage

- Demonstrate strong technical knowledge in terms of domestic and international tax

- Excellent communication and presentation skills

- Strong analytical ability

- Client relationship management

- Ability to manage dynamic teams
